To the editor: It’s Congress’s responsibility to assist clear up the nation’s issues. So it is unhappy to learn that some Republicans in Congress at the moment are opposing the deal brokered by sincere members just because Donald Trump needs to marketing campaign for president utilizing the border disaster as a difficulty.
Is that this the place our beloved nation is now? Ought to the nation endure due to one egocentric individual’s ambition to turn out to be president?
When will Republicans in Congress get up to the truth that the nation is being destroyed by one megalomaniac, and that they will really do one thing about it?

To the editor: I approached David Lauter’s current article on immigration with nice anticipation. This is a matter that divides us, and Lauter presents many compelling arguments to help the concept we want extra immigration.
What he sidesteps is the true query and the proverbial elephant within the room: What number of undocumented immigrants does the US want?
I believe the reply is zero. Sure, we want immigrants to hitch our workforce and contribute to the wealth of our communities, however there are insurance policies and procedures in place for a way we are able to legally enter and stay in our nation.
I personally do not know anybody who’s towards authorized immigration, however leaving the borders of our nice nation so porous is not going to make us stronger.
